Serbia’s partnership with NATO considerably improved

Belgrade, 5 April 2017 – Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic received a congratulations letter from NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the occasion of his election as President of the Republic of Serbia.

You are obviously the right person for this important role in a time full of challenges for Serbia and the wider Western Balkans. In the past few years, thanks to your leadership, partnership of Serbia with NATO has been significantly improved with visible results in many areas and full respect for Serbia's neutrality and its balanced foreign policy.

I have no doubts that you will continue to work on establishing closer cooperation with the NATO alliance to the mutual benefit. It would be my great honour and pleasure to invite you to visit the NATO headquarters in the capacity of the President of the Republic of Serbia” -  reads the congratulations letter of Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
